About Salt rock

Salt rock works best for families and short-break visitors who want to be within easy reach of Blackpool's main attractions without paying for a big resort hotel. Rooms are set up with practicality in mind, including family rooms and en-suite bathrooms, and there's a 24 hour reception for anyone arriving late or heading out early to the Tower or Pleasure Beach.

Guests can arrange for drinks to be brought to their room, and there's a spa and sauna on-site for winding down after a day on your feet. Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area caters well to a range of interests, with golf and fishing nearby alongside watersports for the more active, and walking and cycling routes for a slower pace.

When it comes to eating and drinking, there are pubs, bars and restaurants close by, so guests aren't reliant on the hotel itself for evening plans. Entertainment options in the vicinity add to the case for using Salt rock as a base for exploring what Blackpool has to offer, rather than a destination in its own right.

Salt Rock Airbnb is located in Blackpool, very close to the seaside with lots of takeaways within walking distance (including halal food options). Facilities are nearby, but the actual locality of this accommodation is not somewhere I would recommend for families. I found some strange people in the area who usually kept frowning at us and didn’t seem friendly at all. Coming to the rooms, they are big but not well-utilised or planned. The worst thing I found was having to sleep next to toilets. Come on, just to accommodate more people, you cannot simply place beds anywhere. I also didn’t like the placement of the hot tub. The rooms were warm but not adjusted according to the weather, and there was no ventilation. For accommodation meant for 25 people, there were only 6 dining chairs in the kitchen, which felt very congested. The best thing was the lighting, it gave a good vibe everywhere. The toilets were clean and hygienic, with well-set decoration. Service, however, I would not rate highly. We tried contacting Maria about some items we left there by mistake, but she was not very responsive. For me, acknowledgement matters the most, and I believe in after-sales service, she failed in that regard. I would say if you are a group of friends going there to enjoy yourselves, this is the right place. But if you want to stay with family, this is not my recommendation at all.

Just got back from an amazing weekend at salt rock for my daughters hen party. Couldn't fault the place at all!! Owen and Maria were brilliant hosts. Owen was waiting for us at the property and showed us how to work everything. Kitchen was well equipped. Party/lounge room was ideal. Beds were huge and so comfortable. Photos just don't do it justice! We understandably had to pay a deposit for any damage, this was paid back into my account the day after getting home which was great. The location is also fab, walking distance to the centre of Blackpool. Would highly recommend!! Thanks, Owen and Maria, we will be back!

WOW, just wow! absolutely amazing place to stay, so relaxing, clean, big and very modern. Came here for my hen do and we couldn’t have found a better place. The beds are sooo comfy 😍 we were greeted by Owen and what a lovely man he is he made us feel so welcome. There’s seriously not 1 bad thing to say, we will be back next year that’s for sure. Thankyou so so much for providing the best accommodation for me and my girls 💜

Perfect in every way. Plenty of space. Bedrooms were gorgeous. Bathrooms were fab. It had everything we needed and was the perfect set up for the hen party we were on. Location is amazing, literally 5min walk to the pier. Would definitely recommend to others and would happily visit again if I was ever in need of accommodation in Blackpool.
