About Savoy Hotel Blackpool
Queen's Promenade runs along the Blackpool seafront, and the Savoy Hotel Blackpool takes its place among the row of grand facades looking out over the water. It's a substantial hotel, spread across five floors with 145 rooms, and free parking can be found nearby for those arriving by car.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and many guests find them spacious with comfortable beds, though some parts of the hotel show their age and could do with updating. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available, along with room service and drinks in room. A restaurant and bar operate on site, and breakfast draws particular praise for its range of choices. Lift access covers all floors, and the hotel also has meeting rooms and business services for those combining a stay with work.
Blackpool Tower and the Pleasure Beach are both within reach along the front, and the surrounding area offers walking and cycling routes, golf and fishing further afield, and plenty of pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby. Service has been described as inconsistent at times, so it's worth setting expectations accordingly, but the promenade setting and sea views remain the hotel's strongest draw.

What guests say
Pro's, Orange juice was nice at breakfast. That's about all you can say about it, this isn't a quality place, it's run down to the bones. The lift doesn't work, it's dated, really really dated and isn't maintained to any standard, the room reminds me of my first bedsit. Breakfast finished at 9am on a Bank holiday morning, check out was 10am, no idea why it's so early. The only thing I can say was the staff on reception seemed nice.

We had to change rooms because our original room, 203 was like an oven even with two fans and it was blowing a gale outside but we only had one tiny window. However, it was no trouble at all when we told the staff at reception. They were more than happy to offer us another room. Our next room, 235 was a family room and a lot bigger and so much cooler so I knew I'd sleep better. Some reviews slate how dated it is but I love old buildings and the way the floors creak and the old signage for example 'ladies powder room'. I really appreciate how grand it must have been in the Victorian times. The beds were comfy, the shower was decent and it was clean. The bonus for me is it's dog friendly. My only disappointment and reason I wouldn't stay here again was location. It was just a bit too far north. Having said that, there's a tram stop right outside the hotel and there's access to the beach over the road, much to my dogs delight.

Just checked in…. Gosh what have we walked into, absolutely no thank you! Fancy a shower after your long drive? Well you have a lovely choice of - hot water orrrrrr hot water… but if you want a bath your only aloud an ice bath! How refreshing. Bizarre…. Not sure how this place is still running? Cheap but not cheerful I’m afraid… If you like your quiet, don’t bother as you can hear everyone around you… Staff? I’m not sure they even know they work here… Reminds me of a American horror story episode… or the shining 😁 Comfy bed though..

The hotel is definitely needed upgraded even though the beds were clean enough. The breakfast was the only thing edible ,dinner was terrible. Lift broke down Saturday morning and not being fixed until Monday .Not very handy when you've got mobilty issues and have to go up 2 or 3 flights of stairs .Although I was offered to be moved to another hotel but as all my company of 9 were at the original hotel .I did appreciate the offer of the move. The staff were very nice and helpful
