About The Boyce Hotel
Blackpool Tower and the Winter Gardens are both within easy reach of The Boyce Hotel, making it a handy base for exploring the seafront, entertainment venues and the town's usual mix of pubs, restaurants and amusements. Golf, fishing, cycling and watersports are also nearby for those wanting to get outdoors, while walkers have plenty of routes to choose from along the coast.
Rooms come as en-suite doubles and family options, each with drinks available and access to Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Guests can expect the basics covered well: breakfast is served each morning, kids' meals are available, and there's a restaurant and bar on site along with outdoor seating for warmer days. A games room adds something for families to do without leaving the building, and 24-hour reception means arrivals and queries are handled at any hour.
Luggage storage is available for those arriving early or leaving late, useful given the hotel's position near the main Blackpool attractions. It's a practical choice for a straightforward stay rather than a luxury one, suited to visitors who want to spend their time out exploring the town rather than in their room.
What guests say
The staff on the evening were lovely, however, that was the only positive thing about this so called hotel. The room was absolutely revolting. There were stains on the towels, poorly patched holes to the walls and doors. New organisms growing in the shower tray, a toilet brush that was covered in filth. Brown stains covering the duvet beneath the dated bed sheets, dusty curtains and the window was hanging off its hinges. I’d suspect prisoners are housed better than this place. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, if you’re lucky enough to fall asleep whilst springs dig into your kidneys, you’re likely to awake from the drunken screams and rows outside. After spending the night in this nightmare hotel, eating from this premises was out of the question. However, when we asked for a refund we were told they had already began to cook it… not sure how that was possible when we checked out at the crack of dawn and hadn’t even ordered. This place is absolutely putrescent and should be avoided at all costs.

On arrival, the outside and the lounge area seemed satisfactory, however, the upstairs and bedrooms are a completely different story! We booked 3 rooms for a family stay over, 1triple and 2 doubles, as soon as the keys in the doors were turned, we realised what a mistake it had been, booking this place. In our particular bedroom we were met with a divan that was so stained , it like looked like someone had urinated down the side of it years earlier, coupled with soiled sheets on one bed and a piece of old plyboard under the mattress of the other. Filthy drawers full of crumbs and a horrible stench of damp/stale/musty odour on all the bedding and towels, the rooms absolutely reeked. We actually slept on top of the bedding as we were too nervous to get under the grim duvets. The other 2 rooms weren't much better, the same rancid smell, heavily cracked sink in one bathroom, stained carpets, drawers filthy inside, heavily scuffed paintwork on the walls. We intended to book breakfast initially, but soon changed our mind after experiencing the shocking conditions of the rooms. One of our party requested a change of room due to the double bed being far too small, but staff were quite dismissive and stated that there were no more rooms as the place had been fully booked up for months! We would have left and attempted to find accommodation elsewhere, but as we were only staying for 1 night, had elderly parents with us and it was in the middle of the August holidays, there wouldn't have been much of, if any, chance of finding alternative accommodation. Even the hallways were littered with food debris, I have stayed in far cheaper, far cleaner hostels and stag do hotels. The room pics on google in no way represent the actual horrific standard of what we were faced with. Our stay here has been an absolute waste of £230 and a disappointment all round

Booking was alright and rates were bit higher but it might be because of weekend. Close to town and nonparking facility. Apart from sign board everything was a mess. Manager was rude and when i told him that bedsheets are dirty her reaction was like what… I mean we pay for a room which sposed to be clean and tidy. Anyhow dont book here.

Staff brilliant, breakfast OK. Reception and downstairs areas clean and tidy. Bedroom 1 was dirty, and the beds very uncomfortable, had trouble sleeping. Rooms 2 was better. Such a shame. Glad it was just for 1 night as I could have stayed for longer. Good location but it's despately in need of updating and cash spending in the decor and new beds and carpets in the bedrooms.
