About Westbourne House

Westbourne House suits visitors after a no-frills base for a Blackpool break rather than a destination in itself - couples on a budget seaside trip, groups heading to the attractions, or anyone who just needs a bed within easy reach of the front. It's a townhouse B&B with 10 rooms on Vance Road, close to the seafront and the town's main sights.

Rooms are kept simple, with free WiFi included throughout, and the property runs a 24 hour reception so arrival times aren't an issue. Breakfast is served each morning, and there's a bar and dining room on site for an evening drink without having to head out. Parking is available, which is a genuine convenience in a town where seafront parking can be hard to come by.

The setting puts guests within easy access of Blackpool's attractions, making it a practical option for a short stay focused on the town rather than the hotel itself. Facilities are functional rather than luxurious, so it works best for those who want a straightforward place to sleep and eat breakfast between days out.

Have just come back from 1.night stay. Booked 2 rooms the family room had shared bathroom which wasn't clean, toilet disgusting.no toiletries. Double room no toiletries in shower room, no bathmat, no glasses for water, shortage of towels and no spoons for tea and coffee. Little pots of milk were on the turn.Bed was not too bad. Thought breakfast was included in price, wasn't.

A SHAME !!!! did not go there ... I booked a room in this hotel to stay there for 3 nights with my children including 1 baby. the room i booked i can't stay there because there is a very strong smell of humidity and i have a child with asthma so it's not possible for us. I exceptionally requested a refund so I could rent elsewhere but they refused even with a fee. It is truly shameful and inhuman.

We had no idea when booking that there was no private shower only a communal one. The private toilet we had was filthy, the toilet seat wasn't attached and the previous guest had left us stains as a gift in it and urine over the seat. There were stains on the wall that looked like blood. Breakfast was a let down as we found a long black hair in our food, rather than replace the food entirely (I am an qualified chef) which is basic food hygiene etiquette they simply removed the hair and placed the food back on a new cold plate and gave it back to us like it was new. I had sliced into the food before hand so I could tell it was the same when it came back. The TV remote wouldn't connect to the TV and the 'Sea View' was a lovely view of the back of other run down hotels. Also the cups hadn't been cleaned so we refrained from using the brew making facilities. Over all Faulty Towers would have been better.

Absolutely lovely staff, couldn’t have been anymore helpful and friendly. Accommodated to everything we asked for- ended up staying another night as we loved it there (came as a family). Very clean, breakfast spot on, rooms were perfect. Highly recommend.
