A traditional pub-with-rooms on Bourne's Main Street, The Six Bells is best known for its kitchen turning out proper Sunday roasts and pizzas.
About The Six Bells
The Six Bells occupies a classic Main Street pub building in Bourne, Lincolnshire, the kind of place with a bar up front and rooms kept for guests wanting to stay over. It's an adults-only B&B, so the atmosphere leans toward a quieter, more grown-up stay than a family hotel would offer.
Bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi and drinks available in the room, and breakfast is included to start the day. Downstairs, the restaurant and bar are the real draw, with a menu covering Sunday roasts, pizzas and well-sourced meat dishes, plus a good range of gluten-free options. Service holds up well even during busy periods, and the decor gives the dining areas a cosy, welcoming feel without inflating the prices. There's a garden and outdoor seating for warmer evenings, and free on-site parking for anyone arriving by car.
Bourne itself has further pubs, bars and restaurants within reach, along with entertainment nearby, making it easy to fill an evening beyond the hotel's own bar. The Six Bells works well as a base for exploring the surrounding Lincolnshire countryside, with 24-hour reception on hand whatever time you get back.

Really gorgeous food & friendly service. In the area celebrating my husband’s 30th & kept plans relatively flexible. Booked on the day & put a note in the booking asking for a candle in dessert which the staff picked up on & actually gifted us the dessert on the house which was a lovely gesture. Great table space & super convenient for us that it is a dog friendly place. Relatively reasonable pricing too for the quality of food. Would recommend & probably return if ever back in the area!

My good lady and I had dinner here one Wednesday. I had the chicken liver paté and the venison, while my girlfriend had the terrine and duck. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the meat was exceptional quality. The service was very polite, friendly and efficient, and the wine selection has more wines available by the glass than I've seen in most places, which is a huge bonus if you don't want to commit to a bottle without properly trying it first! We both agreed that it's easily one of the best places locally that we've eaten at, and the food was so good that we both had dessert, which rarely happens. We could easily have left without a third course, but neither of us regretted ordering them. Kudos and gratitude to the chefs and servers there - we will definitely be going back soon

Stayed here overnight when visiting relatives. And what a wonderful suprise it was. Great food, service and atmosphere. Saturday evening was a real example of a thriving local. Will definitely be coming back and staying here on future family visits.

Having booked a room last year for our 55th anniversary, my wife and I booked a table on Monday to celebrate my 77th birthday 🎂. Very good service, choice of drinks, value and superb food. We thoroughly recommend this establishment.
