What visitors say
Recently visited Bourton-on-the-Water during a trip through the UK, and honestly, it felt like stepping into a postcard. Such a beautiful little village — peaceful, incredibly clean, full of greenery, charming stone buildings, and lovely little bridges crossing the river throughout the town. The whole atmosphere was so relaxing and picturesque, with people enjoying walks along the water, cozy cafés, tiny local shops, and ducks peacefully floating by. It’s one of those places where you instantly slow down and just enjoy the surroundings. Absolutely loved the natural beauty and the calm village vibe here. Easily one of the prettiest places I visited on the trip 😊🌸

A gorgeous Cotswold village with the river running through the centre and lovely little bridges everywhere. It is much busier and more touristy than some of the surrounding villages, but still absolutely worth visiting. Lots of cafés, shops and beautiful places to walk.

This is a postcard-perfect village that feels like stepping into a storybook. Its low stone bridges arch gently over the River Windrush, creating a calm and romantic scene. The honey-colored cottages reflect beautifully in the water on sunny days. It’s an ideal place for slow walks and soaking in classic English countryside charm. The village is home to charming ice cream shops, perfect for a treat while exploring. Small gift shops sell local crafts, souvenirs, and handmade items. Traditional tea rooms and cozy pubs add warmth and comfort to the visit. Attractions like the Model Village give visitors plenty to enjoy at a relaxed pace. This can be busy, especially during peak tourist seasons. Visiting early or later in the day makes the experience more peaceful. The mix of scenery, shops, and attractions makes it truly memorable. Overall, it’s a delightful and picture-perfect destination well worth visiting.
