About Guiting Guest House
Guiting Guest House occupies a 17th-century Cotswold farmhouse in Guiting Power, a small village of honey-coloured stone cottages in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Winchcombe and Stow-on-the-Wold. The village has a green, two pubs and a village shop, and very little traffic, which is much of the appeal. The house is a five-minute walk from the centre.
The building retains its original character, with flagstone floors, exposed beams, stone fireplaces and window seats. Bedrooms are individually furnished and en-suite, several with four-poster or half-tester beds. This is a small, owner-run operation rather than a hotel, so there is no bar, restaurant or reception desk, and the number of rooms is limited. The house is adults-only, non-smoking and does not accept pets.
Breakfast is the centrepiece and is cooked to order from a varied menu using local ingredients, with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options available on request. The kitchen holds a food hygiene rating of five out of five. Guests have use of a sitting room and garden, and there is off-road parking. The owners are a useful source of advice on local walks and pub recommendations.
It suits walkers and cyclists in particular, being well placed for the Windrush Way, the Warden's Way and the wider network of paths across the high wolds. Sudeley Castle, Hailes Abbey and the Cotswold Farm Park are all nearby, and Cheltenham is about 20 minutes by car, which makes the house a popular choice during race week. Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-on-the-Wold are both within ten miles.

A truly lovely stay in every way. The setting is idyllic, beautiful gardens and the rooms were perfectly decorated. Comfortable beds, high end linens, brand new bathroom added to our experience. The owners were a delight, made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious with excellent smoked salmon with eggs and great coffee. Would love to stay again, next time we hike the Cotswolds!

The rooms are simply stunning with everything you could want and more, the location is fabulous, and there isn’t one thing I’d change. We will absolutely be returning. The hosts are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and inviting, and the breakfast was delicious - cooked to order with a variety of choices and delicious high-quality sides. The location is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this place anyone planning a trip to the Cotswolds.

We stayed at Guiting Guest House for one night for a Cotswolds short break. Perfect location for catching all the main Picture perfect beautiful locations. However our stay here made our weekend complete and exceeded all of our expectations. Ray & Glenn have created an incredibly welcoming spotlessly clean, well organised and carefully thought out guest house. 10/10 for accommodation, 10/10 for service & attention to customers. Having slept well we went for breakfast to be welcomed by Ray, a crackling log fire & beautiful breakfast room. Breakfast service by Ray was exceptional & actual breakfast worthy of 30 Michelin Stars. Thank you Ray & Glenn, you deserve every success & we will be back. Graham & Karen
