About Aylworth Manor

Aylworth Manor is a period manor house turned bed and breakfast, its solid stone character giving the place a settled, country feel rather than that of a standard hotel. It sits within the small hamlet of Aylworth, just outside Cheltenham, surrounded by Gloucestershire countryside that suits both a quiet stopover and a longer stay.

Rooms are en-suite and come with drinks and garden views, with breakfast included to start the day properly. Outside, guests have use of a garden, picnic area and outdoor seating, along with free on-site parking and an electric vehicle charge point. Free WiFi, luggage storage, laundry service and concierge assistance round out the practical side, making it as workable for business stopovers as for leisure breaks.

The surrounding area is well suited to walking and cycling, with a golf course, pubs, restaurants and entertainment all within reach nearby. It makes a comfortable base for exploring the Cheltenham area, with the manor itself offering a calm retreat to return to at the end of the day.

My partner and I truly enjoyed our stay here. Albeit brief, we will certainly be returning for a longer stay in the future. The Alyworth Manor is conveniently situated, highly comfortable, and as British countryside as you can get. The hosts are lovely. Highly recommend.

We visited Aylworth Manor for a 2 night stay, to get away for the weekend. I don't think I could have picked a better place for us to stay, it was very comfortable and relaxing. It felt like staying in a home, rather than a hotel or b&b. Great food, great company, and a great location. Without a doubt, we would definitely stay here again when we next visit the Cotswolds.

Quirky place to stay in the Cotswolds, definitely memorable! It is set in the countryside so you do not have amenities within walking distance but we accepted this for a true experience of staying in a manor for a couple of nights. Breakfast was delicious and fresh and included in the room rate. Knocked off a star as we were unable to lock the bathroom door which made us uncomfortable and this was not addressed during our stay (it was a weekend but I suppose emergency locksmiths should also be available). The bedroom is also not fitted with a lock and they have a policy of not being allowed onsite from 10am to 4:30pm which was not evident to me until I was handed the check in form. I did find it described in some buried terms and conditions eventually but I believe this should be very clear from the get go. Overall I enjoyed staying there and would recommend it if the privacy situation is improved.

Visited Aylworth Manor for a 3 night stay to celebrate my birthday, and what a fantastic experience we had. The house and grounds were perfectly kept and we had the most amazing view out of our room. The house is full of character and is perfectly located to reach all major towns/villages in the Cotswolds swiftly, yet is set away into the countryside which makes for a quiet, relaxing, and real countryside experience. Bourton-on-the-Water is just a few minutes away, with the likes of Bibury, Broadway, & Chipping Campden just 15-20 mins away each. The breakfast each morning was fantastic, especially the freshly laid eggs from their own chickens. Truly, thank you so much for having us. We will see you again in the summer!
