Wuthering Huts - Flossy’s View

Photo: Wuthering Huts - Flossy's View

Step through the door of Flossy's View and the whole hut unfolds before you in one open-plan space. A woodburner warms the living area, a kitchen runs along one side with gas cooking, and a kingsize bed sits at the far end, all within the same room. A separate shower room completes the layout. Everything is ground floor, everything is yours alone.

The hut sits on moorland above Ponden Reservoir, surrounded by fields and footpaths. A wood-fired hot tub sits in the garden, big enough for two, alongside a pizza oven, firepit and seating. A car park takes one vehicle. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; heating runs on LPG and the woodburner has fuel to get you started. No smoking inside.

This works as a retreat for two people. The Pennine Way passes nearby, as do routes to Brontë Falls and other moorland walks. Pets stay free.

This place is amazing and in such a relaxing and beautiful setting. It has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and we where met by Ian who explained where everything was and how it worked. The log fired bath was amazing and we also enjoyed using the the pizza oven, with enough logged and fire wood available for our whole weekend. Inside the hut was beautifully finished with and the bed was extremely comfortable. To top the whole place off you have amazing views over the valley and 3 highland cows roaming the field in front of the hut. We had the most amazing weekend here, would absolutely recommend it to anyone and will definitely want to come back again in future. Thankyou.

We had the most magical stay at this shepherd’s hut in the beautiful West Yorkshire countryside! Surrounded by absolutely stunning views, it was the perfect peaceful escape from daily life. We brought our binoculars and were amazed by the local wildlife—during our stay we spotted an owl, deer, peacocks, oyster catchers, and so many more. A real highlight was feeding apples to the friendly Highland cows in the field right next to the hut—such a unique and special experience. The hut itself was immaculately presented and by far the best Airbnb we’ve stayed at in the UK. It had everything we could possibly need and more. Thoughtfully designed, cosy, and comfortable—it felt like a real home away from home. The location is ideal too, just a short 10-minute drive to Haworth, a charming and quaint village steeped in history, perfect for a day out exploring. Cate was a lovely host—very responsive and helpful, but also respectful of our privacy, which we really appreciated. Only one very small suggestion: a little curtain on the door window would be a lovely addition for that extra bit of privacy in the evenings. All in all, a truly unforgettable stay—highly recommended and we can’t wait to return!

Absolutely fantastic place and we cannot rave about this shepherds hut enough. Ian and Cate we brilliant from start to finish. The views are just amazing, and to have dinner with the highland cows only a few feet away was something else. We will definitely be back.
