Wuthering Huts - Keepers Hide

Photo: Wuthering Huts

Keeper's Hide suits couples seeking solitude on the moors. This single bedroom, ground-floor hut sleeps two and gives you the whole place to yourself, with a private hot tub and parking for one car. One well-behaved pet can stay free. The location sits above Ponden Reservoir with fields and moorland stretching beyond; you step straight onto walking routes including the Pennine Way and Bronte Way.

Inside, an open-plan space combines living area, kitchen and sleeping quarters. The kingsize bed sits in an enclosed area, the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and there's a shower room with heated towel rail. A woodburner warms the space, with initial fuel included. The essentials—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi—are covered. Outside, the garden holds a wood-fired pizza oven, a Kadai firepit and the private two-person hot tub. No smoking throughout.

This works for anyone wanting to cook, stargazing from the hot tub, and walking into the landscape that inspired Wuthering Heights, then returning to a proper bed and a warm shower. Arrive after 4pm, leave by 10am.

By far the most tranquil and peaceful place we’ve been. Perfect for a couples break. We didn’t take the dog but wish we had done as all the local places were dog friendly. The hut was immaculate, hot tub was fab and hosts were great and respectful of our privacy but there when we needed anything. Perfect mini break

An outstanding Air bnb. The hut, location, and amenities are all excellent. We will be recommending to all our friends and family. A perfect, cosy and silent break. If I could give it 10 out of 5, I would.
