About The George Inn
Braunton sits amid North Devon's beaches and rolling countryside, and The George Inn occupies a spot on Exeter Road right in the heart of it, making it a handy base for exploring the coast and the surrounding walking country. It's a small, traditional inn with just five rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, giving it a personal, unfussy feel rather than the scale of a big hotel.
Rooms come with free WiFi, drinks and room service, so there's little need to venture out if you'd rather settle in for the evening. Downstairs there's a bar and outdoor seating for warmer days, breakfast is served in the morning, and reception is staffed around the clock. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, and pets are welcome too.
Beyond the inn, Braunton offers golf, fishing and watersports nearby, along with walking areas that make the most of the North Devon landscape, plus pubs, bars and restaurants within easy reach for evenings out. It's a straightforward, well-placed spot for those wanting to explore the coast without fuss.
