Corbetts Lodge Cottage

Corbetts Lodge works well for families after space and outdoor time, couples wanting a break away from it all, or groups of friends looking for somewhere to spread out. The cottage sits on a quiet private road deep in the Norfolk Brecks, surrounded by open fields and with nothing but countryside between you and the horizon. One dog is welcome to come along.

Inside, there are three bedrooms—a kingsize, a double and a bunk room—plus a bathroom with bath and shower. The ground floor holds a living room with a smart TV and open fire, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. Bed linen, towels, heating and Wi-Fi are covered, and there's a welcome pack on arrival. If you're travelling with small children, a travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available.

The real draw for most people is the hot tub in the enclosed back garden, where you can settle in as the light goes and watch the stars come out. From the cottage you step straight onto a network of walking and cycling routes through quiet lanes where birdsong outnumbers traffic. Swaffham's market and independent shops are within reach, the North Norfolk Coast beaches make a good day trip, and the surrounding villages are dotted with pubs and farm shops. There's parking for six cars on the private drive.
