Glen Cottage is a single-bedroom cottage attached to the owner's home in Westfield, on the edge of Dereham. You arrive into an open-plan ground floor with a combined living and dining area, plus a kitchen fitted with electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Upstairs is a bedroom with a zip-and-link super king bed (which can be split into two singles) and a shower room. The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, linen, towels and wifi are all included.
Outside, there's a patio with garden furniture, private parking for one car, and a bike store. One dog is welcome at no extra cost, though they must be kept on a lead; the owners also have cats. The shared garden includes an unfenced pond. The cottage suits couples or friends seeking a quiet base. Walking and cycling trails run directly from the door through quiet lanes. Dereham itself—less than a mile away—has a swimming pool and leisure centre, golf course, cinema, shops and restaurants. The North Norfolk Coast is under an hour's drive, with Wells-next-the-Sea 25 miles away and Blakeney Quay 26 miles. No smoking indoors.

We stayed at Glen Cottage for 3 nights it is very homely comfortable and inviting 😊🏡 We had little Billy who was made to feel just as welcome ❤️🐕 Tina and Paul are lovely they explained everything about the cottage to us and nothing was too much trouble ❤️ We had fresh baked bread when we arrived butter and milk tea coffee and sugar etc 🍞 Most places to visit were within driving distance We went to Oxburgh Hall, Blicking Hall and Sandringham on our visit all lovely places to go We will be returning soon 😊😊

An absolutely fabulous day here; Tina and Paul are exemplary hosts and do a great deal to make you feel very welcome and they provide everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay, evening including freshly baked bread on your arrival.

Fabulous few days in Norfolk at Glen Cottage. Beautiful cosy cottage, attentive friendly hosts in Tina & Paul. Nothing is too much trouble and the extra touches are lovely. . Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We have stayed at Glen Cottage a number of times over the last year since Paul and Tina took over. They have made the cottage very homely and there are many little touches that set it apart, like the welcome pack, including a freshly baked home made loaf and the large, comfortable bed. The cottage is warm and cosy with everything you need for a relaxing stay. There are numerous walks on the doorstep and the coast is only a short drive away. We are already planning our next break at Glen Cottage whilst we are searching for our own ‘Escape to the Country’.
