The Old Rectory Lodge

Built as part of Yaxham's Georgian rectory, The Old Rectory Lodge is a wing of the Grade II listed former parish house, now furnished with a contemporary lightness that plays against its period bones. You get the whole place to yourself—a single bedroom with zip-and-link bed, shower room, and an open-plan ground floor combining living space, dining area and kitchen. Everything is on one level, making it straightforward to move around. There's a utility room with a washer dryer, and the bedroom has its own Freeview TV alongside the main set in the living area.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Oil heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. Out the back, an enclosed courtyard garden with seating, a summerhouse and barbecue creates a private retreat. One car parks at the front; additional spaces can be arranged. The property sits on a private drive near St Peters church, within the grounds of the owner's home but entirely separate.

Yaxham village is close by, with Dereham two miles away offering swimming, cinema, bowling and shops. The Mid Norfolk Railway runs heritage trips half a mile distant. Within an hour you can reach Norfolk's coast, the Broads, or Peddars Way. One well-behaved dog stays free. No smoking inside.
