Dereham sits at the heart of Norfolk, within reach of the Broads and the coast, yet quiet enough for a genuine retreat. Hawthorns Glamping occupies three acres of meadowland, with Fox Tiny House standing apart as a self-contained space for two. The structure is compact but complete: downstairs holds an open-plan living and dining area with a sofa bed, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a contemporary shower room. Upstairs, a galleried mezzanine bedroom has a kingsize bed. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are included, and you have your own parking space on site.
The real draw is the setting. You get a private garden with seating and a fire pit, plus access to the wider meadow and the quiet that comes with having genuine distance between each accommodation. The site runs on solar power, though Wi-Fi and all modern conveniences work as standard. This suits couples after something different from a hotel or conventional cottage—somewhere to read, sit outside in the evening, or simply step back from routine. No smoking is permitted, and the property is for your exclusive use from check-in after 4pm until 10am departure.

We had the best time at Hawthornes glamping. It was relaxing and perfect for our 4 year old and 1 year old to run around safely. There was great toys and board games in the safari tent and the outdoor kitchen and swings were a massive hit. The tent was equipped with everything we needed and was immaculate. We were so comfortable and Robin was at hand if we needed anything. My daughter loved the cabin bed and we loved having a fire pit in the evening. Some things we did whilst on our break: ROARRR adventure park was brilliant for the kids. Beans seal trips- an hour boat ride to do some seal spotting. Strawberry picking . Flow craft cafe for pottery painting. We highly recommend The Lodge for dinner too. We had incredible food there! We had such a fab weekend and this accommodation was absolutely perfect! Thank you.

We had a lovely stay in Muntjac despite temperatures getting below zero over night. The tent has everything you need from an air fryer to comfy beds. On arrival the hosts had been in and started up the log burner and turned the lights on for us which was a lovely touch as we arrived in the dark. There are four lovely electric blankets which we used to keep us warm. Hosts easy to contact before and during stay. We recommend the horkey kitchen a two minute drive away for breakfast and Becks fish and chips about five minutes drive. Overall a lovely stay we hope to return in warmer weather.

Superbly equipped Safari tents, with all the facilities, also available is a trailer house. Currently very spacious site, with only 3 encampments leaving lots of room for children to play. One niggle is water pressure was too low for showers and then drainage was a problem in our tent.

Disappointing stay in Fallow. Not all the amenities listed when we booked were in the tent. There was no cooker, no mini fridge, the play area for the children was neglected and a bit sad looking. The heater was woefully inadequate for the space. The other tents had wood burners and heaters making the guests who stayed there much more comfortable. The breakage charges are high and are more that the cost of the items to replace. The final disappointment was the message we received at 730 am on the day of departure which told us to strip all the beds. Would not stay again and not recommend.
