What visitors say
Easy to get to. Pay and display, £3.50 for half a day. Multiple walking routes, offering differing scenery. Toilets were clean and well kept. Wear old shoes if going after rain, was very muddy in places.

Bins were overflowing. People had left excrement, not sure if it was human or dog, near a picnic table near the play area. Parking was limited. Could be a really nice place to take the family if more attention was paid to cleanliness. Park had really good swings, slides & climbing frames.

Had a nice dog walk here with the family. Plenty of parking spaces and can pay by phone or card and reasonably priced at £3.50 half day or £5 full day. There are several walks you can do, sadly once your walking they don’t seem to be that well sign posted. Didn’t matter to us as we were in no rush, but could do with a few pointers to help keep you on track. The woodland walk was quiet muddy and the track uneven but the wetland walk was nearly all boarded which was good for us. Had some nice views of the river and finally ended up back at the cafe for a lovely salted caramel ice cream. Nice way to spend an afternoon, there’s also a garden centre to pop in and look at if interested.

Lovely park. Riverside and woodland walks and an excellent cafe. Unfortunately on 29th May 2026, the entire children’s play area was cordoned off for refurbishment. Especially disappointing as it was during school half-term.

People say this park offers numerous walking routes, including shaded woodland paths and riverside trails, along with a children's play area and a duck pond. Visitors highlight the clean, well-kept toilets and the convenient, reasonably priced parking. They also appreciate the cafe, which serves hot and cold drinks, snacks, and ice cream, including vegetarian and vegan options.
