An excellent hotel. Lovely large 'clean' room, comfortable bed, walk in shower. We asked to have fridge in the room... no trouble at all. Tea and coffee facilities were great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Sensible room check out time 11:00am.

Just a night stop. Room was very clean but decor dated and a little tired. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was excellent. Room was a little musty. No fan in the room, it was really hot but just manageable with the windows open. Good price for a nightstop on a long drive.

We stayed at The Walnut Tree Hotel for a joint valentine's and birthday treat and chose to eat at the restaurant. We are so glad we did as the food was exceptional. From the starter, main course's, to the sweet, it was all delicious and freshly cooked. It was a pleasure to eat traditional British dishes and make an event of it. It's all too common for us to call in somewhere and expect quickly delivered warmed up food or some chain restaurant, but this was well timed between course's and cooked to perfection. We live in South Wales but would not hesitate to drive over just to experience such an enjoyable meal again.
