Just had a week at this little campsite and what a fantastic time me and the wife had, the owners are so friendly and helpful the guy (Sam) who runs the bar another great guy all the locals made us feel welcome, everything you need within walking distance we will definitely be back. Thank you.

The site is small but lovely, next to a brewery with toilet facilities. The problem is the owner ' R' of the furniture restoration business next door. You use the same vehicle entrance but he shouts and spews vitriol when you drive in. He keeps saying "its private, you should never be let in here". Whilst staying here, we went in to look in the restoration business not realising it was his. We went in with our dog and 2 daughters, under 12. He kept looking like he could stamp on the dog. My daughter put a crisp bag in his bin and you'd have thought she'd set gire to it or something the way he screamed at her- she was in tears. He hates the brewery next door. Even though you cant chose your neighbours it put us right off vising again.

We had an event at the Piece Hall in Halifax. We stopped at this campsite and it was perfect for the one night we stayed. It has electric hook up and toilets (no showers). The owner was very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. He even helped us with a paving slab to put our disposable BBQ on. He gave us all the information of local takeaways etc and the bus stop to Halifax was just a 5 minute walk away. It took 10 minutes to Halifax centre by bus. If I come to the Piece Hall again I would definitely book here again. One last note the pub is right next door! (Seperate business). Thank you!
