Great cinema. Sat in VIP seats which were comfortable. Best part - fabulous customer service. Jacob was so welcoming and so patient as we were using vouchers and a CEA card. He also took the time to tell us the best time to go in to avoid trailers (as my autistic children would not last through them). Definitely my first choice for a cinema outing!

Yesterday, me and my family (a group of 7, with some travelling all the way from London to visit) went to VUE Cinema Longwell Green intending to watch Mortal Kombat 2. On arrival, we were stopped at the ticket gate because my son was not old enough to watch the film. I’ll be honest, I was extremely upset at first. In other cinemas, staff have sometimes used discretion and allowed me to take him in, so I felt frustrated and, as his parent, felt I should be able to make that choice myself. I asked for the manager, expecting what could have been quite an awkward and confrontational interaction, especially with such a large group of us there. To my surprise, the manager on duty, Lily, came over with the calmest, kindest, and most understanding demeanour. I explained how I felt, and without hesitation she clearly and respectfully explained the legal responsibilities and why they simply couldn’t allow such a young child into a 15-rated film. She explained it so well that we genuinely couldn’t be upset. What stood out most was how understanding she was. At no point did she make us feel blamed or embarrassed. She immediately put my whole family at ease, offered us alternative film options (even though some of us had already seen them), and offered a few goodwill gestures to make sure our evening wasn’t spoiled. Lily went completely above and beyond. We went from feeling really disappointed to literally singing her praises by the end of it. She wasn’t a jobsworth just quoting rules for the sake of it — she upheld cinema policy consistently while showing top-tier customer service, empathy, and brilliant de-escalation skills. As a racially mixed family group, it’s not uncommon for people to sometimes misread us as intimidating, but Lily treated us with nothing but warmth and respect from start to finish. By the end of it, she honestly felt like part of the family — we could’ve invited her to join our festivities! She is definitely invited to the cookout. What an amazing manager. Because of Lily, me and my family will absolutely be back. VUE Longwell Green is lucky to have her.

Great cinema experience. Plenty of cinema rooms offering a varied range of films in a varied range of different sized cinemas. Easy booking online, nice selection of snacks and beverages, but watch out for the queues, they can take a while. Free parking too, so all good there.
