The campsite needs improving. The road is tight, for one big car, God help you if you meet a big one coming your way and your car doesn't have at least 25-30 cm above the ground, it's a country road, lot of stones and earth - better to pray to don't start the rain. If doesn't rain, you'll have dust, so choose what you like more. The toilets not too bad, better to get your own toilet roll just in case. At the shower, I had the surprise to find on the floor of all 3 small stalls the dust or earth that people have taken from the trip. During the night we heard an helicopter and motorcycle or ATV, anyway a noisy engine - was long past 10pm - the quiet time supposed to start at 10pm. Was nice to hear the cheerful voices for England football team at the World Cup, but not the engine. Not a very bad place, but need a bit of investment in the road to the tent campsite and hygiene. Hope you have a lovely time when you visit this place 🙏🤗😁.

Perfectly located to enjoy your time surfing. Relaxed, quiet and the fresh air really helped us all sleep (along with the surf!!) Will be visiting again. Thanks for a great stay.

Good experience camping in the field at the wave. Plenty of space, other campers were friendly. Toilet block and shower block in the field itself, which was good. I felt that the check-in process could have been easier, I struggled to find the check-in cabin for the camping as there was no instruction on its location. The allocated camping areas should really be separated by string, as it was quite unclear where to park and where not to park which seemed to cause some issues amongst other campers. I was also not aware that there were toilets and showers in the field itself, which was a nice surprise, but you would expect this information to be disclosed at check-in. Overall I felt the check-in process was just a little vague and lacking explanation. Generally no issues and it’s a good spot to camp. I can’t comment on the wave experience itself as I didn’t use the surf facilities on this visit.

We decided to stay here for one night on our way down to Cornwall. I am a seasoned camper and festival goer, my sweet husband is not. I have had more comfortable camping experiences in the pouring rain at Bloodstock than I did here. The rooms are small with high ceilings, so any heat is immediately lost upwards. The mattresses are thin and worn out. The double bed is actually two single beds pushed together and feels incredibly claustrophobic. The only room that is heated is the living/dining area, the wood burner is a lovely touch but due to no fan aspect, the heat is once again, lost upwards. In the end, we swaddled ourselves in the duvets on the sofa bed in an effort to keep warm and comfortable. There are no towels provided, not even a tea towel or a hand towel. As far as location goes, it's okay, it's near enough Bristol and a few amenities. It is not peaceful or relaxing as advertised though as it's very close to the M5 and there's a freight rail line that runs very close and all through the night. To call this 'glamping' is an insult to camping. For anyone who thinks camping has to be this dire, it doesn't!
