About DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol North

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bristol North is built for travellers passing through or working nearby rather than those wanting a destination stay in itself - anyone heading to Aztec West Business Park, driving the M4/M5 interchange, or simply needing a comfortable stop off the motorway will find it does the job well. With 197 rooms across two floors, it has the scale to handle business groups, wedding parties and families alike, backed by meeting rooms, a bridal suite and family rooms.

Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, though some of the bathrooms are showing their age. Guests arriving are met with a warm welcome that includes cookies and chocolates, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. On site there's a restaurant, bar, breakfast service and room service, plus an indoor pool, sauna and gym for unwinding after a day of meetings or driving. Parking is available on site for a charge, and there's an electric vehicle charge point for those who need it.

Outside the hotel, the area offers golf, fishing and entertainment nearby, along with pubs and restaurants for evenings out. Pets are welcome, and facilities such as luggage storage and laundry service make it a practical base for longer stays as well as one-night stops.

We had a nice stay at this Doubletree. I was staying for work and brought the family along so they could have a nice couple of days in Bristol. The location was convenient for us even though it is at a distance from the main Bristol attractions. The pool was busy all the time but the jacuzzi was excellent - genuinely hot! We had one of their newer king rooms which was really lovely - well designed, comfortable and with a nice bathroom. Unfortunately the air con wasn’t working which meant we had a bad night’s sleep the first night. We were moved to an older room for the second night which was not as nice. Food in the restaurant was good! We had one evening meal there and had excellent service from Joe and Ana who were really efficient, attentive and helpful. Staff generally were keen to help and sorted issues quickly. They did some printing for me which was very helpful! I think it is a generally well maintained and run hotel.

I had a lovely stay here, stuff was incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive throughout with us and amongst each other, making the whole experience very welcoming, peaceful and 5 star standards. Room was clean, bed comfortable, lovely shower and all you might need. I had a welcoming hand written card (being a cabin crew staying to rest between my jearneys)which was such a lovely personal touch. We also had complimentary cookies which was so yammy! Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choice and lovely coffee/tea selection. I highly recommend to stay here and I looking forward to returning again. Thank you guys so so much!

I stayed at this hotel for two weeks for work, with the stay being paid for by my employer. Even though I wasn't paying personally, I can honestly say I would never choose to stay here again. By far one of the poorest hotels I've ever stayed in. The only positive I can think of was the free cookie at check-in. Unfortunately, everything else fell well below what I'd expect from a Hilton. The room was very dated, covered in dust, and generally just wasn't clean. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and squeaked every time I moved, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom wasn't stocked properly on arrival – there were two bottles of shampoo, no body wash, and the conditioner dispenser was empty. Not only were things unclean but as shown in the video, the shower was broken. All of which was reported I must add. To make matters worse, the cleaner removed my loofah and bath salts during the stay. I was initially allocated a disabled-access room despite not requesting one and had to ask reception to move me. The room also lacked basic conveniences. There were no plug sockets by the bed to charge my phone overnight, and the TV wasn't even a smart TV, which feels outdated for a hotel of this standard. There wasn't even a toilet brush in the bathroom. Breakfast was average at best, but what really put me off was seeing ANTS crawling around the coffee machines. That's simply unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. On top of all that, guests are charged expensive parking, which feels unreasonable considering the room rates. During my stay there were also multiple power cuts, adding even more frustration. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish. I expected far better from a Hilton, but this hotel fell short in almost every area. I won't be returning, even if someone else is paying.

Had a really pleasant stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Bristol North. I stayed two night in room 127 A big thank you to Lewis at the front desk for the warm welcome and smooth check-in. He is very polite and he knows meaning of hospitality. At dinner, Anna (the short-haired lady in the restaurant) was fantastic—very attentive and friendly. Special mention as well to Assistant F&B Manager Glein Ferdinandez, who was amazing and made sure everything was perfect. The pool area is great—clean, relaxing, and a lovely place to unwind. The food was also very tasty and well presented. Overall, a great experience with excellent service from the team. Would definitely return!
