About Mercure Bristol Holland House

Redcliffe Hill climbs up from Bristol's Harbourside, with the old Redcliffe Caves cut into the slopes nearby, and it's here that Mercure Bristol Holland House sits among the city's mix of waterside paths and busy streets. It's a substantial hotel, spread across five floors with 275 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, and accessible rooms available for those who need them.

Guests get a straightforward, well-equipped stay rather than anything fussy: a restaurant and bar on site, room service, a gym, and an indoor swimming pool with spa treatments including massages. Breakfast is served, and practical extras such as luggage storage, laundry service and concierge help cover the basics. The hotel also functions as a wedding venue, and on-site parking is available for a charge.

Outside, Bristol's Harbourside is within easy reach for walking or cycling, and the surrounding streets are well stocked with pubs, restaurants and other places to eat, making it a convenient base for exploring the city on foot.

Second time we stayed at this location. First time was much better in terms of cleanliness, the room feels like very old (needs refurbishment), we couldn't flush the toilet properly, the bed sheets didn't look very clean, the air conditioning didn't work , we used the fan but still because you cant open the windows the quality of the air in the room was poor. ( I like fresh air coming from outside). I didn't sleep very well. The staff was very nice and kind, gave them 10 points. The dining room was very nice organized, breakfast was very good, lots of selections and everything very fresh. (another 10 points). Elena

Service was immaculate. Breakfast and evening meal were amazing. Reception staff went above and beyond. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Room was spacious and had a great view over the water. Close to the city centre everything was a stones throw a way. The pool closed the week before we came which was a little disappointing but didn’t really affect us as there was plenty in the area to do. Thanks to the Holland House team for making our weekend so amazing.

The hotel is very well located for a tour in Bristol as it is near to the harbour. It is not far from many restaurants and places of interest. We found that the food was of good quality- especially the breakfast. Alternative milk were labelled and available. The evening meal was good but the room was cold and lacked atmosphere. The room had a grand style but fittings needed attention as the bathroom door did not close properly. Overall it was a pleasant stay and we slept well.
