A traditional pub-hotel on Long Ashton Road, Bristol, suited to travellers who want a proper Sunday roast and a fire to sit by after.
About The Angel Inn
The Angel Inn suits visitors who'd rather stay somewhere with a proper bar and a fire than a generic hotel lobby. It's a pub first and a place to sleep second, set on Long Ashton Road near the River Avon, with rooms kept simple and comfortable behind the traditional frontage - en-suite bathrooms, drinks available in room, and free WiFi throughout.
Downstairs is where it earns its keep: a restaurant and bar serving classic pub food, with a fish sandwich and Sunday roast that regulars come back for, made from good ingredients rather than anything fussy. The beer is well looked after, service is attentive, and the garden and outdoor seating give somewhere to sit when the weather allows. Breakfast is included for residents, and there's a 24 hour reception along with luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures.
Free on-site parking is a genuine plus given how stretched spaces can get nearby during local events. Pets are welcome, and there are further pubs, restaurants and entertainment options within easy reach for anyone wanting a change of scene. It's a good fit for a straightforward overnight stop or a weekend built around good food and a decent pint rather than resort-style extras.

What guests say
Great beer and amazing service every time I’ve been. I’ve eaten here once and had a really nice Sunday roast which was reasonably priced. They also offer a smaller roast or a roast baguette, which a couple of friends enjoyed. A proper good, unpretentious pub.

We came here on a Saturday for a lunch and I’m so happy we did. Very good quality ingredients used and all cooked fresh. Not a single frozen thing on our plate. The ciabatta with fish sandwich was particularly outstanding. Freshly battered cod with home made tartar sauce and soft bread. We also got the pie, which was top tier. The chef came out to see how the food was which I think is always a nice touch and shows that the cook cares for the food he makes. The service was perfect from start to the end. 10/10 thanks

Brilliant pub. Everything you need from a traditional pub: a warm welcome, well kept beer, decent well-priced traditional pub grub and a lovely roaring fire. The garden looks great for the summer. I'll definitely be back.
