About Travelodge Bristol Abbey Wood

Walk into a room at Travelodge Bristol Abbey Wood and you'll find a clean, well-proportioned space with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and a proper power shower - the kind of straightforward comfort that matters more than frills after a day of travelling or meetings. Drinks are available in the room, and the overall setup suits both a quick overnight stop and a longer stay.

Downstairs there's a restaurant and bar on site, along with 24 hour reception and a lift for easy access to all floors. The hotel welcomes pets, and an electric vehicle charge point is available for those who need it. On-site parking is chargeable and works on a first-come, first-served basis using the retail car park by the ASDA opposite; registering your vehicle at reception secures free parking, though spaces can be limited at busier times.

The location on Concorde Roundabout puts the hotel within easy reach of UWE, the MOD, and Filton Abbey Wood station, with Bristol city centre also accessible from here. Nearby you'll find pubs, restaurants and other eateries for evenings out, plus entertainment options close by. Staff are on hand throughout the day, and the rooms and rates together make this a sensible base for exploring Bristol without overspending.

The room was excellent for a Travelodge. There were blood stains on the bathroom floor when I arrived, potentially excrement. Who knows? Caleb was a highlight, really knew his way around the bar, and very personable to all. Made everyone feel very welcome. Mac, however, may have been the worst part of Bristol as a whole. Seemed to care more about himself, his phone, and collecting a pay cheque. Good for him. Avoid if possible.

First time staying at a Travelodge in years, and it genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Yes, this is a newer hotel and I’m in a ‘Super Room’, but even so, this is a clear step change. It still carries the familiar, reassuring core of the brand, but everything around it has been elevated – the finish, the comfort, the sleep quality, the small in-room details that actually matter. At this price point, it’s exceptional value. What stood out just as much was the team. Warm, engaged, and clearly taking pride in what they do. I’ve got my dog with me on this trip and they’ve gone out of their way to welcome him as well, which says a lot about the culture on the ground. If there’s one point to improve, it’s the bathroom size. It’s slightly tight. Not a dealbreaker, but if you’re designing future sites, a small increase in space would materially improve the experience. This Bristol Abbey location sets the benchmark. If this is the direction of travel, Travelodge has quietly and successfully repositioned itself.

This is a really nice Travelodge. Staff were friendly, the room was very clean, and the location is excellent. We brought our little dog and they were welcoming and accommodating. The car park for Travelodge doesn't have too many spaces and it was a busy bank holiday weekend, so we were directed to park in the larger car park of the retail park a minute or two's walk away, and to register our numberplate so we wouldn't be fined.

Would be rated higher however the fire alarm does have a sensitivity issue which results in it singing the song of it's people in multiple, interrupted ballads. Would work as a single night stay but parking isn't great out front and requires parking on the retail park so a bit of a walk if you can't find a parking spot nearby the hotel. Staff are friendly but seems to run a ghost shift with only 1 or 2 people available. Iron's need to be requested from reception but are thankfully clean and operate well. Showers are basic but water pressure and temperature is relatively low even on max settings. Bed pillows lack much substance but bed is overall comfortable. Would maybe consider options when booking again.
