Stayed here for 4 nights in July, fantastic location and walkable into Brixham, it is uphill on the way back as other reviews have said although nowhere near as steep as I thought it was going to be. The pitches sizes are huge so plenty of space. The pot washing and added benefit of a washing machine were also great. The only reason I marked it down slightly was due to the toilet and shower block which I felt could do with a bit of an upgrade/modernisation however that been said, it was always clean. Somewhere to plug a hair dryer in with a mirror would have been useful too as the rules state you cannot plug regular appliances in your camper van, the hairdryer in the block was an old fashioned wall hung device that took ages to dry hair and was awkward to use as to where it was positioned. There was a bar and a food place also on site however didnt get chance to try them out. Would definitely book to stay again due to how easy it is for Brixham.

You don’t get a lot for your money, you pay a good high rate for your pitch and then an excessive amount on top for electric hook up. The location of this site is good, but the touring pitch we were given was in a large field, that was it - no landscaping, just plonked in the middle of a very large open space. The bar was in a large tent like structure, we didn’t use it so can’t comment. The toilets took us back to our school days, like in our old school gym with benches around the walls and one hook on the back of the shower door so when you used the shower all your stuff (for want of a better word) easily got wet. The showers gave you five seconds, yes that’s right, five seconds, before having to push the button again. It wasn’t awful, it wasn’t great. We wouldn’t book this site again, and the people at the side of us said the same. This was one of five sites we stayed at on our trip and it was the most expensive and the least pleasurable. The walk into the town isn’t that far, however, the walk back is very very steep and there’s a lot of steps to climb. The walk to Berry Head was more pleasurable and there’s a lovely hotel there called The Berry Head Hotel to stop for lunch, and that has magnificent views. There’s also an old fortress on the way with a great cafe at reasonable prices, very popular it seems and the scones were huge and magnificent.

This site isn't great. The good stuff is the location. A ten or fifteen minute walk into the town harbour, although it's downhill, so a bit of a trek back, and the same to get to Berry Head reserve. There's a bar that didn't open and a snack bar that also didn't open. The site is totally open, no security of any type, barriers or cameras. Pitches in the field we were assigned aren't particularly level. Shower blocks are awful. Reminded me of a 1970's school gym block. Toilets were reasonably clean, but there was no dryer at the hand wash basin. Next door, a row of showers with no additional space to dry or put your gear, but a long row of bench seating and hooks outside the cubicles. There was a mop to clean the cubicle after you used it that was filthy. There was only one motorhome grey waste point, which someone had parked their car over, so we couldn't use. The guy opening up the reception told us to drain our grey waste on the pitch. 🫤. A lot of the pitches seem to be permanent residents, and had a bit of a gipsy feel. It wasn't a site my wife and I felt secure at, especially after she was harassed by a random stranger walking his dog through the site whilst I wasn't there. Fortunately I returned and he wandered off. They also chargean extortionate price just for electricity. £25 for 3 days in the middle of a heatwave. I doubt we used a fiver of that price. I won't be returning.

We love this campsite and have been loads of times. The bar has been added since we last came and the live music and drinks were great! Stayed with a campervan and awning. Easy walk to town and along the SW coast path to Berry Head or St Mary’s Bay (my favourite UK beach)
