Swallows Cottage

Swallows Cottage sits in Churston Ferrers, on the edge of Brixham, a working fishing town with a busy harbour where trawlers still land their catch daily. The South Devon coast here means beaches, clifftop walks and seaside towns are within reach—Torquay and Paignton lie nearby, and Greenway, Agatha Christie's former home on the River Dart, is a short drive away. The cottage itself is compact and ground-floor friendly, with an open-plan living and dining space that doubles as your base for exploring, and steps leading to the garden mean easy access outdoors.

Inside, you get two bedrooms: one with twin single beds and a smart TV, the other a double. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower cubicle. The kitchen is fitted for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher—and the living area has a woodburner and television for quieter evenings. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; heating runs on gas. An enclosed garden with seating is perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink, and there is parking on the road outside.

The cottage sleeps four and welcomes one small dog, which must be kept on a lead in the garden. No smoking inside. Families with young children can request a travel cot and highchair.
