This architect-designed apartment occupies an elevated position within private woodland grounds. High ceilings and large windows flood the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with light. A galleried study space sits above, reached by a gentle slope—useful for a quiet workspace or retreat. The building itself has character: thoughtfully proportioned rooms and a substantial veranda that overlooks the trees, furnished for sitting out in any season.

The layout comprises a double bedroom (4ft 6in bed), a second bedroom with twin singles (3ft beds), and a shower room with heated towel rail. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and a combined microwave-oven-grill. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. A single parking space comes with the property, and an electric car charging point is available on request. No smoking indoors.

The grounds belong to the owners, who keep alpacas on the land—you may encounter them during your stay. Access is via a ramp, and there's a private enclosed garden area to the property. Berkhamsted and Chesham lie nearby, both with restaurants, independent shops and market activity; the Chiltern Hills themselves are within reach for walking. The owners can arrange use of their private padel court if you're interested in the sport.
