The Skreen

We had the fortune of finding and booking this amazing holiday break for one week. The property is truly wonderful and the interior decoration and furnishings are impeccable. David and Julie are outstanding hosts who cannot do enough for their guests. This gorgeous property in amazing grounds is so relaxing yet well positioned for surrounding adventures. The rooms are all appointed with beautiful furnishings and the breakfasts are of high quality. If you want a relaxing and stress free environment look no further. Absolutely beautiful Guest House in a stunning location. We stayed for 2 nights with another couple and could not have been made to feel any more welcome. The rooms are beautifully appointed and decorated, with luxurious bath / shower rooms and the whole house has such a luxury and homely feel. The grounds are very well kept and there are wonderful views over the valley and surrounds to the River Wye. We were served fruit & yoghurt and a lovely cooked breakfast, with plenty of other options to suit just about any requirement. We are already planning our next visit so we can explore more of the local towns and countryside.

❤️🩷 EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY!! 🩷❤️ I highly recommend staying here at the Skreen! I am a motorcyclist and I must say, the owners love bikers!! So accommodating and were very attentive! I stayed at this magnificent bed and breakfast for 3 nights over a long weekend and it was money well spent. The hosts, Julie and David, were very welcoming and friendly. They could not do enough for me. Thank you! 😘 They let me store my motorbike in a secure/locked garage with 24 hour CCTV. They also let me dry off my motorcycle gear and clothes in their laundry room when I got drenched in the heavy rain free of charge. The room: Specular!! Beautiful, comfortable and the bed was super comfortable. Slept like a baby and enjoyed the sounds of the birds and sheep in the early morning! The bathroom was clean and tidy with plenty of toiletries. The room came with hair straighteners, hair dryer, tea & coffee facilities and bathrobes. I slept loved staying here. Just wish were had a clear night so I could star gaze, the hosts have a telescope you can use which you can request. Breakfast: DELICUOUS!! David can cook an excellent full English breakfast! Thank you so much! Local pubs: 5 minutes away by car/motorbike, 12 minutes from Builth Wells. Lovely countryside pubs with delicious food! I recommend The Griffin Inn down the road. This stunning manor is surrounded by beautiful countryside. So if you love hiking as well as biking, definitely stay here. Will definitely return to stay here! 5 STARS!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is my first time visiting The Skreen, and my goodness what an amazing beatiful place, from spectacular rooms all with stunning views. The hosts were brilliant catered to my every need and could not fault anything at all, simply out of this world, a definite must see. David and Julie the hosts have really exceeded my every expectation. And for the price per night it’s done to a very high standard. Breakfast was 10/10 most of the produce was all sourced locally which is fantastic for the full Welsh experience. Looking forward to be going back and seeing the sight’s in the summer months. 🫶🏽❤️xxx
