What visitors say
It was a beautiful sunny day when we ventured to Towneley Hall. It was well worth the trip, the grounds and hall are beautiful. We went into the hall itself, very reasonably priced at £5.60 for an adult for an annual ticket. It is very well laid out and the guides in each room were friendly and knowledgeable. The exhibits were interesting and the children we came across were actively involved in searching out info with their clipboards. Of course we had to have lunch and the modern and bright Park Life Cafe served lovely coffee and decent food. After strolling around the vast grounds we ambled back to the car with a delicious whippy ice cream in hand. A great day out!

What A Great Location In The Dark And With Its Rich History Dating Back To The 15TH Century. Townley Hall Is One Of Burnleys Historic Places In The Town . A Massive Area Great For Dog Walks

This is a fabulous historic house set in a huge park. It is well ordered with very varied exhibits including a gallery of mainly Victorian art, an impressive old kitchen and lots relating to the Townley family. It has recently reopened and some of the house is still closed, and some of the artwork downstairs is not labeled. Hopefully those issues will soon be fixed. The guides were friendly and helpful and the whole place is a credit to Burnley Council who run it.

Beautiful spot. Weather was good and the park area and grass parts around it were busy with families which was lovely to see -people were playing football and games and enjoying picnics. We didn't go inside the hall, prefer to enjoy the sun. We had a dog with us who also got plenty of space to walk. We paid £2 for all day parking. Definitely worth a visit.
