Burnley sits at the edge of Lancashire's uplands, close enough to the Forest of Bowland for day trips into serious countryside, yet well-served with town amenities. Brun Cottage is a terraced house on the outskirts, sleeping six across three bedrooms: two doubles on the first floor and two singles on the second. There's a family bathroom with bath and shower, and a ground-floor living space that opens directly onto a private patio and enclosed garden where you can sit out with a drink.
The kitchen has what you need to cook properly—electric oven, hob, microwave and fridge—and patio doors mean you're never far from the garden while preparing food. Wifi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included. One well-behaved pet can stay free of charge. The cottage is yours alone for the duration; there's on-road parking outside. Note that smoking is not permitted indoors.
This works well for families or groups wanting a base within reach of the Pennine Way and local walking country, with a pub less than a mile away for an evening out. Arrive after 4pm, depart by 10am.
