About Rossendale Holiday Glamping
Moors, valley, wildlife watching and an island with stone barbecue – this 20-acre site in the Rossendale valley feels genuinely remote, yet sits just 40 minutes' drive from Manchester. Once a historic courtyard for stabling horses, it's been transformed by a family team into a wildlife haven with 4,000 mature trees, nature trails, deer hides and bird tables. Camping pods come with outdoor space and stone tables for cooking; the Hayshed café-bar fires up pizzas and drinks Friday and Saturday evenings. The Pennine Way is five minutes' walk away, with walks of varying lengths threading straight from the grounds into the Pennine moors.
The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, though facilities can feel a touch basic in places. Activities nearby include cycling at Lee Quarry, sailing and horse riding. With campfires allowed, that river island becomes the perfect spot for outdoor dinners as dusk settles over the valley.

Absolutely stunning stay! Our lodge was the hideaway and it was beautiful, tucked into a corner of the gorgeous landscape, which included pathways surrounded by treats, streams with bridges over and just gorgeous greenery. The room its self was beautiful and extremely clean. The whole stay from the minute we got there was peaceful and everything we wanted!

Lovely location, great on site walk for dogs. Decor needed tlc, the shower head wouldn't stay up. Kitchen utensils were sparse. No wooden spoon, despite request to use in pans, no baking tray and oven dials weren't lined up. No room to get into double bed on wall side. Blind was tattered and would have been better as a black out one.

Fabulous stay with friendly staff who deliver quality customer service and support . The hayshed cafe and bar is an asset to the stay experience offering affordable service and dining . Alongside friendly staff who go above and beyond . Rooms are immaculate with everything you need as described in the booking description . WiFi is available also. Very peaceful and respectful atmosphere for a relaxing stay . Dogs are very welcomed and plenty of space for dog walking . There are plenty of bathroom and kitchen amenities in the cottages and pods . And plenty of room . Family friendly great for children for an outdoor experience of the countryside . There is pounds for fishing too . All in all five star ⭐️

We booked a self-contained pod (The Nest) last minute. It was very well presented and equipped with all essential amenities, within a lovely setting. The staff were extremely helpful and even delivered pizza and drinks whilst we were enjoying ourselves in the local pub which is only 7 minutes walk. For the limited time we spent on site (1x night), it was obvious that customers are the primary focus and everyone we encountered was polite and helpful. We will return in the very near future! Keep up the good work Rossendale Holiday Cottages & Glamping :-)
