About Thomas Wright House
A bridal suite and dedicated wedding venue set Thomas Wright House apart from the average County Durham hotel, though it caters just as well to guests simply passing through Byers Green. Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, and family and accessible options are available, so the property suits couples, business travellers and families alike.
Guests can expect breakfast, a restaurant and bar on site, with room service, packed lunches and kids' meals available for those who'd rather not stray far. The garden, picnic area and outdoor seating give extra space to relax, while meeting rooms and business services make it workable for those combining a stay with work. Free on-site parking is provided throughout.
Byers Green itself is quiet, but Durham Cathedral and Beamish Museum are both within easy reach, and there's a golf course, pubs, restaurants and entertainment nearby for anyone wanting to venture out. It's a straightforward base for exploring the region, whatever the occasion.
