Immaculate Club-affiliated park on the edge of a Georgian Speyside town

About Grantown-on-Spey Caravan Park

Grantown-on-Spey Caravan Park sits on the northern edge of the Cairngorms National Park, a few minutes' walk from the granite high street of one of Scotland's best-preserved Georgian planned towns. This Caravan and Motorhome Club affiliated site occupies quiet parkland with the Spey and its woodland walks close by, and it has built a strong reputation for being kept in genuinely immaculate order – the heated toilet and shower block is regularly singled out for praise.

Pitches come in two grades: standard grass or hardstanding with ten-amp electric hook-up from around nineteen pounds a night, and more spacious super pitches with water, waste and sixteen-amp supply from around twenty-four pounds. Tents are welcome alongside tourers and motorhomes. For those who'd rather not pitch at all, the park also offers heated wigwams from about forty-five pounds, en-suite Lapwing pods, and Mountain View lodges at the top of the range.

The location is the real selling point. An eighteen-hole golf course is on the doorstep, the Speyside Way and Anagach Woods start within walking distance, and the town's bakers, butchers and cafes mean you need not drive anywhere for supplies. Aviemore lies twenty-five minutes south, the Speyside distilleries an easy run north-east, and Loch Garten's ospreys are twenty minutes away.

We stayed with some friends for a few days and couldn't fault a single thing about the site. It's beautifully laid out with lots of green spaces and trees, meaning pitches can feel private. The toilet blocks are immaculate and the showers are really hot with lots of pressure. Grantown is an easy 10min walk with plenty of amenities. Definitely be back!

Great place & very peaceful. Previously I have used the toilet/shower blocks which are in great condition and WARM(The block in the middle is, anyway!), but on this particular week, I stayed in a mobile home. The distance from the town centre is a short walk away, so very convenient.

Site a bit run down some of the shower don't work but the water is that hot it is very dangerous with no signs saying so and the flag stones outside the upper toilet block are a death trap very uneven some by as much as as 1 inch Car on site just dive any way they feel like ignoring the speed limit
