Sands Farm Cottage sits in the Calder Valley between Sowerby Bridge, Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge, where the countryside opens up for serious walking and cycling. The Pennine Way, Calderdale Way and Cragg Vale all start from or pass near the property, and National Cycle Network Route 66 runs close by. Mytholmroyd, birthplace of Ted Hughes, is five minutes' drive away; Hebden Bridge's shops and restaurants are ten minutes further. The Peak District lies roughly 40 minutes south.

This semi-detached stone house sleeps four across two bedrooms, each with zip-and-link beds that can be configured as doubles or singles. There are two bathrooms, plus a separate toilet. Downstairs, a wood-burning stove warms the living room and a well-equipped kitchen handles full cooking—oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, generous fridge-freezer. The utility room holds a washing machine and tumble dryer. Underfloor heating throughout, wifi, and logs for the burner are all included. The property has its own parking for four cars and a bike store for exploring further afield.

One well-behaved pet stays free. The cottage sits next to the owner's home and overlooks the valley; a patio with garden furniture opens to views across the surrounding fields. The grounds contain an unfenced pond. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

First class+ accomodation. Furnished and equipped to a high standard. Lots of space. Stunning views. So much so that we have stayed here umpteen times, and will continue to come back often. Restful, peaceful, plenty of walks. So much to see in the local area and further afield. Top class.
