About Immervoulin Caravan and Camping Park

Immervoulin Caravan and Camping Park occupies a quiet stretch of the River Balvaig just outside Strathyre, six miles north of Callander on the A84 toward Lochearnhead. This small, family-run site trades the busier holiday-park atmosphere of Callander's larger neighbours for a simpler, riverside pitch where families and couples can swim, paddle or launch a kayak straight from the bank. Touring caravans, motorhomes and tents all have a home here, with electric hookup on most pitches and a dog-friendly policy throughout.

The Balvaig's shallow, clean water suits family swimming on warm days, and National Cycle Route 7 runs close by, offering a largely traffic-free ride south into Callander or north along Loch Lubnaig. Forest tracks and hill paths lead directly into the Balquhidder glens and around the loch without needing the car, while Strathyre village—a short walk or cycle away—covers basics with a shop, pub and visitor centre. The site can feel a little tired in places, but its unfussy riverside setting suits anyone after genuine Highland quiet over polished facilities.

had a fab long weekend here after booking for two nights we stayed for an extra night it was that good ..the welcome was great friendly and relaxed. the toilet and showers were a little dated as other users have said but spiders and webs in the toilet block!! come on you are camping in the countryside..stay home if you want it pristine... it's in a beautiful location and easy walking distance to a pub a cafe and a small shop..would definitely recommend

A campsite in the most beautiful location with breathtaking views .. we just turned up on the off chance hoping to get a pitch .\\nWe were greeted with a friendly welcome .\\nThe shower and toilet block is at the end of the site.. it is “tired” and could possibly do with a bit of a revamp , BUT the showers and toilets inside were both clean and well stocked with hand soap and toilet roll . The showers do take 20p to work ( 3 minutes) but if you have no change ( like us) then the site owners supplied as many as we wanted .\\nOverall we wouldn’t hesitate to stop her again .. the setting and views are just beautiful … and for £25 for the night I thought this was reasonable .. ☺️

Convenient campsite on Cycle Route 7. Has all you need, toilets, showers and few essentials for sale in reception. No midges when I was there in May but come prepared at other times of the year, it is next to a river.

First time staying and it will definitely be the last. Chose this campsite as we love visiting Callendar and this was ideal as was close by. However the site itself was untidy, the toilet facilities were poor and definitely were not cleaned whilst we were there. The signal is very poor, you can connect to WiFi but only at the main shop which is just as you enter the site. Also there is only one bin which again is located right at the entrance of the site which isn't ideal if you are walking your dog as again from where we were it was a fair treck.\\n\\nOverall we weren't impressed and won't be returning.
