Forest View
Stirling
Forest View is a single-storey lodge on a small private estate in Stirling, where the River Balvaig borders one side and Strathyre Forest rises on the other. The whole property is yours alone. Everything unfolds on one level: an open-plan living and dining space with a wood burner, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with singles), and a bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered; heating runs via a modern central system. The initial logs for the wood burner are supplied.
Outside, a lawned garden with seating looks out across shared parkland. You have private parking for two cars. The River Balvaig is 150 yards away—unfenced, so something to note if you have young children. Free fishing for two rods is available on the river itself. Strathyre sits on the Rob Roy Way and a national cycle route, making it a base for serious hill work on Ben Vorlich, Stuc a'Chroin, Ben Ledi and beyond, or for quieter forest walks where red squirrels, otters and pine martens have been spotted. A pub and shops are within half a mile. Callander, nine miles south, has more substantial dining and shopping; Loch Lubnaig is close for water sports, and historic Stirling lies 24 miles away.
