Desh restaurant, an unplanned extension to our stay in Callander. Thought a lunch would set us up for tonight. After wintery weather their interior was bright, colourful reminiscent of hotter temps. Plenty of choice on the menu. Food was really great, spicy, authenticate in taste and good portion sizes. Freshly prepared. Very impressed, talked to an Asian couple who came in who were celebrating their Wedding Anniversary. Friendly, attentive service which just added to an enjoyable afternoon.

Great homebase for dayhiking in the Trossachs. Good location on the main street in Callender close to the bus stop and trailheads. We had a delicious dinner in the attached Indian restaurant and our hosts were welcoming and helpful. Room had an en suite bathroom, tea service and was well priced. Bathroom could use some repairs and updating, room was comfortable but utilitarian. Stayed Sept. 2025

Booked this hotel for my son and his girlfriend . On arrival we were met by a staff member who was pleasant and polite he said he was giving them the biggest and best room in the hotel, if that was the best room I wouldn’t like to see the others, the light in the bathroom kept flickering, the door to the room didn’t close properly and was burst at the top, the window frame was rotten and had a hole in it and was covered in mould. They said there was an ironing board available in the room but I think one of the previous tenants had used the carpet instead of the board as it was burnt. The plug hole in the shower was dirty and full of hair( obviously hadn’t been cleaned in a while). It was so bad they didn’t stay longer than an hour, when we explained to the staff member all he could say was we can offer you another room but as I previously said this was supposed to be their best room.. Downstairs the bar and restaurant looked clean and tidy. At no point did he suggest a refund, would definitely not recommend to others.

Absolutely loved this bar and restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed night out or a fun get-together with friends. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, with fresh ingredients and great flavour in every dish. Drinks were expertly made and the menu had something for everyone. What really stood out was the service friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without feeling rushed. Everything came out on time, and the staff made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. Highly recommend this place for great food, great drinks, and an all-around excellent vibe. Will definitely be back!
