About Pine Lodge Stables
Tucked into wildflower meadows on the edge of scenic moorland, Pine Lodge Stables offers proper wild-camping seclusion on a working farm near Carmarthen. Each generous one-acre pitch shares a paddock with just one other group, giving you serious breathing space to unwind – though you'll need to embrace the basics: composting loos, cold showers and no mains water. It's a place for those who prize peace and raw natural beauty over creature comforts.
The moorland adjoining the site is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with footpaths weaving through forestry just half a mile away – ideal for walkers, wildlife watchers and dog owners. Dinefwr and Kidwelly castles lie within 35 minutes' drive, as does the coast, while the National Botanic Garden of Wales is a 25-minute spin away. The site team can arrange foraging walks or sourdough-making sessions, adding a hands-on edge to your stay. Carmarthen, 15 minutes away, covers supplies, pubs and galleries.
