Bwlchygwynt

Carmarthenshire

Rural Carmarthenshire opens out around Bwlchygwynt, a barn conversion on the owner's land with long views toward the Black Mountains and across to Brecon Beacons National Park. The setting is quiet enough for stargazing from the garden, yet walking routes lead directly from the property into the surrounding countryside. Llandovery sits 4.5 miles away on the park's edge, and the area is threaded with bridleways and forest trails, including an RSPB reserve near Llyn Brianne Reservoir.

The barn sleeps five across two bedrooms: a kingsize on the ground floor with its own bathroom (bath and walk-in shower), and upstairs a zip-and-link kingsize that splits into two singles plus a single bed, served by an ensuite shower. Ground floor living is open-plan—a sitting area with wood burner, dining space and kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Underfloor heating warms the lower level; oil central heating runs through the rest. An enclosed garden with seating and a barbecue opens from the back, and there is parking for two cars on site.

Essentials including bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are covered, and the wood burner comes with an initial supply of fuel. One dog is welcome. No smoking inside.
