Ammanford and the surrounding Carmarthenshire countryside offer plenty to explore, from local cafes and shops to the Ammanford Miners' Theatre and walking routes across the Black Mountain range. The Bailiffs House sits within the grounds of the historic Glynhir Estate, where woodland, gardens and a 30ft waterfall on the property itself provide immediate access to outdoor space without leaving the grounds.
The house sleeps eight across three bedrooms. Downstairs there is a living room with a woodburner and TV, plus a kitchen and dining room fitted with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. All three bedrooms are upstairs with ensuite bathrooms: one contains a double bed and shower cubicle; the other two each have a double and a single bed, with bath-and-shower and shower cubicle respectively. A separate toilet is also on the ground floor. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and initial logs for the woodburner are included. The property has private parking for two cars and a front garden with seating furniture. One dog or cat can stay free. No smoking is permitted inside.
The nearest larger attractions are Brecon Beacons National Park and Llandybie, both within reach for day trips.

We arrived later than expected, after a journey of over five hours, and the hotel were so accommodating. We were especially grateful, as we had an early start the next day to collect our new puppy! On arrival, we were greeted by the friendly owner, who we instantly bonded with after discovering they have the same dog breed we were about to collect – such a lovely and unexpected connection. The hotel itself is full of history, charm, and character. Every corner feels special and tells a story, making our stay feel unique compared to standard modern hotels. We felt so welcomed and looked after from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stay with personality and heart. We would love to come back with our children. Originally, we had booked the wrong date with another company using a voucher, and the hotel kindly changed our booking without any fuss, which made things so much easier for us – especially when the travel company were not helpful at all. We will certainly book direct next time.

Beautiful, characterful Manor house. Very peaceful location, peacocks wandering around, very friendly. Fabulous breakfast, apple juice from the orchard.

Excellent overnight fishing accommodation and convenient for the Tywi. Managed 3 hours early morning before returning for a fabulous breakfast at 9.30am. Big lounge to watch the best footy game of the Euros on my own with my chilled cider from their fridge. Will return when the salmon start running.

This place is charming, characterful, very well presented for a period property, peaceful and you should really stay here. I had a couple of nights here and the stay totally rejuvenated me. So unbelievably quiet and homely. I could stay a week here without hesitation. No WiFi but that's fine as it was great to escape for a couple of days. The architecture is wonderful, full of character. The rooms and lounge area very well presented and comfortable. The local area is a haven for wildlife and there are lots of areas to walk. It is also within a short journey to lots of local highlights such as Brecon and the coast. Old fashioned but in tip top condition... we'll done to the owners for such a great B&B
