Hengenin Holidays - Hengegin
Carmarthenshire
Hengegin sits where the Brecon Beacons meet quieter countryside, putting you within reach of both mountain trails and the wider Welsh landscape. The village of Llandyfan is rural and unhurried; from here you can walk into the hills to find waterfalls, drive to castles and historic sites, or head west towards the Gower Peninsula's coast, roughly an hour away.
The cottage is a compact two-bedroom property with space for four. Downstairs, the living area opens into the kitchen and dining space, with a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. A utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer, and doubles as useful storage for outdoor kit and bikes. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with two single beds. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. There is parking for one car on site. No smoking indoors.
This is a working base rather than a retreat: the appeal lies in what's around it. Whether you're after hill walks, visits to local landmarks, or a longer drive to the coast, the location gives you options without being hemmed in by tourist infrastructure.
