The Dairy comes ready for a self-catering stay with everything you need included: Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all sorted. The kitchen has an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, so you can cook properly or keep things simple as you prefer. Oil underfloor heating means the barn stays warm whatever the season. A welcome pack is provided, and there's a travel cot and highchair if you're bringing young children.

The entire ground floor is open plan, with a living space that opens onto a patio through French doors, a dining area, and two bedrooms. One has a double bed with ensuite shower, the other has two singles; the family bathroom has both bath and shower. You get private parking for two cars on site and your own patio with garden furniture. The barn is on a rural holding in the Carmarthenshire countryside, with a shared courtyard garden and views across fields where red kites and buzzards are often spotted. A pub is a mile away and a shop just 300 yards. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

The location puts you within reach of walks around the Preseli Hills, the National Botanic Gardens, and medieval castles at Kidwelly, Dynevor and Carew. Carmarthen and Laugharne are nearby market towns, the latter famous as home to Dylan Thomas and his boathouse. Tenby and Saundersfoot beaches, and attractions like Oakwood Theme Park, are under 30 minutes' drive away.
