An adults-only hotel on Lammas Street in Carmarthen, suited to couples and older travellers wanting a central base with proper cooked breakfasts.

About Falcon Hotel

Falcon Hotel works well for adults seeking a straightforward, well-run base in the middle of Carmarthen rather than a resort experience. With just 16 rooms, it has the feel of a small, personally-run establishment, and being adults only, it tends to suit couples, older travellers or anyone wanting a quieter stay away from families.

Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and the practical extras that make a stay easier: room service, laundry service, luggage storage and free WiFi throughout. The restaurant is a genuine focus, with a varied menu and breakfasts made using good ingredients, and packed lunches can be arranged for guests heading out for the day. Staff are on hand to help with whatever's needed, from local advice to everyday requests.

The Lammas Street address puts guests within easy reach of pubs, bars and other restaurants nearby, while golf, fishing, cycling and walking are all available for those wanting to get outdoors. It's a hotel built around comfort and convenience rather than extras, and it does that job well.

Quite disappointed too be honest. I feel it's more of a B&B rather than a hotel. The rooms and hotel generally are very dated and the throws/cushions that are placed on the bed for effect, are surely not cleaned regularly. There was a real musty smell in the room we stayed in. The daytime temperature was about 26 degrees. It was bordering on uncomfortable in the room. Any warmer and it would have been unbearable. No air conditioning. I wanted some ice cold water from the tap but it was not cold. The plus points being the only room that felt modern was the dining room and the breakfast was exceptional. Except we were given warm orange juice and when I asked for a replacement was only given one. My wife was left with a warm one. I would never have paid £110, had I known how icky it felt inside. Sorry but it does need investment.

Stayed here recently in a single room. Wanted to leave a review to say that the staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was also great! Great quality ingredients.

Just had our work Christmas lunch here and it was excellent. There was plenty of space, the staff were attentive and cheerful and the food was hot coming to the table. There was more than enough food and was one of the best Christmas lunches I've had! Thank you to everyone who made our lunch memorable... for all the right reasons!
