Lower Barn

Built from stone, Lower Barn is a converted barn that retains period character alongside modern comfort. The property holds three bedrooms—a double, a super king, and a twin—with two bathrooms spread across the ground and first floors, making it workable for a group of six. Underfloor heating and an air source heat pump keep things warm; electricity, bed linen and towels are provided, as is Wi-Fi. The wood burner fuels itself too.

The ground floor contains the main living space, with a wood-burning stove, freeview television, and a kitchen fitted with the basics for self-catering: oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, and full-size fridge and freezer. Doors from the kitchen open onto the garden. There is also a utility room with washing and tumble-drying machines, and a games room. A track leads to the property; parking for three cars sits on site. One well-behaved dog is welcome, though it must stay on a lead in this sheep country.

The barn sits in Dolgran, a small hamlet surrounded by rolling hills and woodland in the heart of Carmarthenshire. The setting suits walkers and those seeking quiet. Llandysul, a market town with amenities, lies nearby. Smoking is not permitted inside.
