Bryntrisant
Ceredigion
Red kites and buzzards wheel above the fields from Bryntrisant's garden, and the Bwlch Nant Yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre—where over a hundred birds gather daily—lies just a few miles away. Aberystwyth's seafront is a short drive off. The cottage itself dates to the 1840s, when it housed a tin miner turned lead miner, then served as a village shop and weaver's home. Restoration has kept its stone walls and substantial fireplace intact, the latter now housing a wood burner.
Ground floor holds an open-plan living space with a 28-inch TV and DVD player, a dining area, and a kitchen fitted with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine. A separate toilet and boot room lead out to the enclosed garden with patio and seating. Upstairs, one double bedroom (4ft 6in) and one twin room both look across the fields towards the Cambrian hills. A shower room with cubicle and rain head completes the first floor. The low entrance doorway is marked with signs.
Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included; initial fuel for the wood burner is provided, with further baskets available via honesty box. The garden has furniture and a barbecue. Private parking accommodates two cars. No smoking throughout. The property sleeps four.
