Bwthyn Gwyn

Aberaeron and its harbourside character lie within a ten-minute drive, but Bwthyn Gwyn sits back into quieter countryside where red kites circle overhead. The cottage occupies a private rural estate with open field views, and works equally well for a couple or a family of four. One dog is welcome to join you here.

The single-storey layout is open plan on the ground floor, with living and dining areas flowing into a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, dishwasher, and all the essentials. Two bedrooms sleep four: one with a double bed, one with two singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wi-fi are all included. An enclosed garden has furniture and a barbecue; parking on site takes three cars. Steps up to the entrance.

This is a good base for the Cardigan Bay coastline—New Quay, Llangrannog, Aberporth and Aberystwyth are all within easy reach, and dolphins and porpoises are often spotted offshore. Heading inland takes you to Lampeter and Tregaron. A petrol station and supermarket are five minutes' drive towards Lampeter, with larger shops fifteen minutes further on. The Tyglyn Hotel, which has a bar and restaurant, is within walking distance. No smoking inside the cottage.
