About Naturesbase

Tucked into the Ceredigion countryside just outside Lampeter, Naturesbase is a small, peaceful farm site where campfires crackle under starry skies and the scenery feels genuinely remote. With only 11–25 pitches spread across non-electric grass, it's a proper wildlife haven—expect birdsong, open views, and a slower pace. Facilities strike a thoughtful balance: spacious loos, a drying room, communal fridge, and even a games room for rainy days, plus the site runs on renewable energy and welcomes dogs year-round.

Pitches start around £56 a night, which isn't bargain territory, but the location delivers for walkers, cyclists, and anyone keen to explore the Cambrian coast or inland hills. Kayaking, fishing, and mountain biking are all nearby, and Lampeter's cafés and farmers' market provide an easy supply run. It's straightforward, well-equipped, and genuinely relaxing—a handy base that doesn't feel like just a stopover.

What a fantastic site, ran by fantastic people. Both Giles and Alison are fully dedicated to creating a loving, welcoming environment for all people to come and enjoy. The Bushcraft activity was thoroughly enjoyed by my 12 year old son, as well as every other child that participated from a whole range of ages. The pizza night was a great meal and all the other little activities that are offered, from the Green Fitness Trail to feeding the animals and collecting the eggs were all ran very well. My wife and son had reflexology with Alison, and both of them came back glowing from the experience. Everything about this place reflects the care and attention that has been put into it, and even though it was busy on a few days, we never really felt it because the spacing of the pitches is done so well, you always have your own little bit to retreat to should you wish. All in all it was an amazing stay, and the perfect base from which to explore all the nearby activities, and come home to at the end of the day to unwind and relax. Thanks so much to you both.

Really lovely campsite. Pitches are big and separated so you don't feel penned it at all. Each one has its own fire pit with wood available to buy on site and grids available to borrow for cooking. Lots to do for the kids - the tyre swing was popular and there's a play fort and you can help feed the animals in the mornings. You can order a cooked breakfast on Mondays and Fridays and highly recommend pizza night on a Monday too! We will definitely be going back.

A fantastic campsite, with excellent facilities, always clean. Welcoming hosts full of information and added extras like pizza oven and campfires make it a special experience! Safari tents and lodges are also lovely... we've been twice and plan to return! The kids love the hill fort, streams and play barn.
