Ffynnonmeredydd Cottages - Gwel-Y-Llyn
Ceredigion

Gwel-Y-Llyn is a traditional Welsh long barn converted into a self-catering cottage for four guests. Everything happens on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with French doors opening onto a patio, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, two bedrooms (one double, one with twin singles), and a shower room. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, so you arrive to a ready-made home rather than an empty shell.
The cottage sits within 24 acres of grounds on a working property, where you have private use of a hot tub for four and access to a tennis court and children's play area. There's a patio with a barbecue and garden furniture, and parking for one car. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The setting is rural Ceredigion, rolling countryside rather than dramatic peaks, roughly six miles inland from Aberaeron with its Georgian harbour and fishing fleet, and a short drive from the market towns of Lampeter and Tregaron. Cors Caron, a national nature reserve of peat bog known for rare plants and birds including red kites, lies nearby. The area is predominantly Welsh-speaking; if you want to experience that culture properly rather than as a tourist attraction, this location delivers it.
