Fron Towyn Cottage

Ceredigion

View on Google Maps

New Quay is a working fishing village on the Ceredigion coast, with independent shops, restaurants and pubs clustered around the harbour. Fron Towyn Cottage sits in the heart of it all—a traditional 19th-century stone building where you can reach the beach, the dog-friendly shore at Dolau, and the village's cafés and chip shops within minutes on foot. Parking for two cars is on site.

The cottage has three bedrooms: a kingsize, two singles, and a further single. One bathroom with bath and shower serves the whole place. Downstairs, the living and dining rooms both have smart televisions; the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with an electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. One dog can stay free of charge. The property is yours alone for the duration of your stay—no shared facilities or other guests.

Walking dominates the area: coastal paths wind through the surrounding countryside, and the Dylan Thomas trail runs through the village itself. From New Quay you can book dolphin-watching trips into the bay, or head slightly further to Cwmtydu to see seals, or to Llangrannog for coastal views. Aberaeron's Georgian harbour is 10 minutes' drive away. The whole stretch of coast—60 miles of it—is accessible for exploring, with activities ranging from kayaking and cycling to horse riding and golf. No smoking inside the cottage.

Our stay at Fron Towyn was so good we extended our stay. The house was absolutely spotless on arrival and considering it is dog friendly, we were very impressed with how clean it was. We brought our dogs too and they loved it! The three bedrooms are perfectly sized and there is a double room, a twin room and a single room as well as a spacious bathroom. All bedrooms were again spotless and tastefully decorated with all the furniture you’d need. The house has a main living room and a smaller living room area separate from this which was a nice touch as you can set up a gaming console or similar on this separate TV and have some time to yourself. The kitchen is very well equipped and had some detergents as well as cloths for you to do the cleaning basics with which were again invaluable. Caroline and Kevin were available for questions and left you to it when needed for you enjoy your holiday. There was even a bit of milk in the fridge upon our arrival late on in the evening for a brew. I honestly cannot fault our stay. We had a wonderful time and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thanks! H
