The Ceredigion countryside around Lampeter offers direct access to walking routes and the river Teifi, with the market town itself a short drive away for shops and restaurants. Gaer Cottages – Shire sits within a private hamlet on extensive grounds, a stone cottage converted for comfort without fuss. Everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living and kitchen space with woodburner and smart TV, three bedrooms sleeping six (super king, king, and twin), and two bathrooms with heated towel rails. The kitchen has an electric cooker, range, microwave and coffee machine, plus a separate utility room. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with initial fuel for the fire.

An enclosed garden with seating and gas barbecue opens onto a larger paddock, and the property has its own private hot tub for six. Beyond the garden, there are 6 acres of shared grounds running down to the river, with parking for two cars on site. One dog is welcome at no extra charge. The cottage does not accept children under 12, and there is direct access to an unfenced river on the grounds.

Stayed in the old cow shed 2 for 10 night with my husband who sometimes requires a wheelchair and our Nephew. Upon arrival we were very happy with the accommodation. The Welsh cakes and a pint of milk left for us was lovely after a long drive. The kitchen was one of the best equipped kitchen we have stayed in . The bathroom had a shower with a seat which was great for my husband he was very impressed with the waterfall shower . The inclosed garden was lovely looking out over a field with a stream. Beds nice and comfy. We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay Hopefully we will stay again . It is 20 mins drive to New Quay or Aberaeron and Aberystwyth was around 40 mins

A lovely traditional cottage. First impressions are WOW. Immaculately clean with everything you need. Even included doggie treats as a welcome. We had one with a hot tub which was great so peaceful and relaxing and star gazing at its best. A lovely sized paddock to let your dogs run off their energy. A freindly and warm welcome and nothing is a problem from the owners such a lovely couple. Wishing you good luck on your new venture.

Want to get away from it all? Need to get work done? Have a retreat to run for up to 30 people - I would say this is definitely the place. Almost zero mobile signal for those who want to go off grid Brilliant WiFi for those who want to remain in contact with the outside world. Really comfortable accommodation, Totally unexpectedly arrived to eggs, bread, butter, tea, Welsh cakes & Milk… Beautiful double ended bath in our room, lovely shower and all you could hope for, including dish washer and washing machine. Log burner & hot tub for those wanting that little bit more. Would definitely come again and will be recommending to my friends who are looking for a place to run a business retreat or the like. Lovely for a family break away with your 4 legged friend.
